Refusing a Refill That Has Been Refilled
Completed refills have an Activity of Refill and a Status of Complete, Amend, or Amend Next.
You can select a refill to refuse:
From the Workbench
- Open a prescription in Rx Detail or select a prescription on the Workbench.
- Press the Refuse button.
The prescription is placed on the Completed tab with a Status of Cancelled. If a third party accepted a claim for the prescription, a reversal is sent to the third party.
By Entering the Rx#
- On the Workbench, press the Refuse button. The Select Prescription dialogue box appears.
- In the Rx(s) field, enter the Rx# of the prescription to refuse. You can enter multiple Rx#s separated by slashes (such as 50001/50002/50003).
- Press the OK button
The prescription is placed on the Completed tab with a Status of Cancelled. If a third party accepted a claim for the prescription, a reversal is sent to the third party.
From the Patient Folder
- On the Workbench, press the Refuse button. The Select Prescription dialogue box appears.
- In the Patient field, enter the patient's name in the form last name, first name. You can also search for the patient.
- Press the OK button. The patient's profile appears.
- Select one or more prescriptions on the patient's profile.
- Press the OK button.
The prescription is placed on the Completed tab with a Status of Cancelled. If a third party accepted a claim for the prescription, a reversal is sent to the third party.
